RITTBR was founded in 2004 through a prophetic word from God. Ram in the Thicket Biblical Resources was birthed from the scriptural story of God's sacrificial provision for Abraham on the mountain, and His promise to bless him as a result of his obedience.

A few years ago, a good confidant, Evangelist Shirley Lasley, reiterated a prophetic word from the Lord. She stated, "God wants you to fast for seven days, and during that time, He will give you a ministry of your own."

So the next seven days were spent in fasting, and God's leading was to "Ram in the Thicket" because He had always provided a way out of difficult situations. All we need do is be obedient unto our God, exercise our faith, and He will provide.

The founder, Gerre Nelson, is a native of Crockett, Texas where she was reared in a Christian home. She is the second of three children, and the proud mother of one son, Kesean Jeffrey Nelson. Her gift from God is playing the piano, where she began at the young age of 3.5 years, on an old upright.

In 1970, Ms. Nelson's family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she completed elementary and high school. She continued playing the piano for various churches serving in the roles of church pianist and assistant pianist. In 1981, she relocated to California and currently resides in the city of Mountain View. Since 1991, her church affiliation has been with the Jubilee Christian Center, which is located in the city of San Jose.

Ms. Nelson always had an entrepreneurial desire to start her own business. So God has given her the opportunity to create and administer this website. We are to take God's yoke upon us and learn of Him. Ram in the Thicket Biblical Resources is a Christian site (independent of any congregation or other organization) that provides a variety of Biblical study resources for new, seasoned, and non-believers via the Internet (World Wide Web). It serves as a source for coming into the knowledge of Christ, or broadening and increasing our relationship with Him. In addition, we offer a monthly Bible reading plan, Bible trivia, and merchandise.
